Shabwah Governor calls for locals to leave Saudi-linked military camps
Awad al-Awlaqi, the Governor of Shabwah in the Sanaa-based government, has issued an urgent call to the residents of Shabwah and other southern governorates to leave military camps associated with Saudi Arabia. Al-Awlaqi stated that the move is necessary to protect lives and prevent locals from being used in conflicts that serve foreign agendas.
The Governor accused Saudi leadership and officers of sheltering in underground military positions while showing disregard for the lives of local citizens. He further alleged that Saudi Arabia has exploited the living conditions of Yemenis for 12 years while looting national wealth and transferring it to the Saudi National Bank.
Al-Awlaqi expressed support for recent statements by Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, emphasizing that the Yemeni armed forces do not target the people of the southern governorates, but rather the Saudi military mobilizations. He praised the military successes of the Sanaa-based forces in their efforts to end the blockade and reclaim stolen resources.
