Shabwah participates in economic development and reconstruction planning workshop

A consultative workshop was held in Mukalla to prepare the economic and social development and reconstruction plan for the years 2027–2029. The event was organized by the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

Representatives from the local authorities and executive offices of Shabwah, Al-Mahrah, and Socotra participated in the sessions. A delegation from Shabwah, led by Deputy Governor Fahd Al-Tusli, presented the governorate's developmental needs and priorities to be included in the national project matrix for the upcoming three years.

The workshop focused on four primary pillars: institutional building and governance, investment in human capital, strengthening partnerships with the private sector, and sustainable development and reconstruction. Discussions also covered improving resource management, supporting education and health sectors, and enhancing infrastructure resilience against climate challenges.
