Shabwah security forces seize illegal oil refinery in Wadi Dahir

A joint security campaign in Shabwah Governorate has seized an illegal petroleum refinery located in Wadi Dahir. The operation was conducted following intelligence and monitoring efforts directed by Governor Awad Mohammed bin al-Wazir.

Security forces, led by Brigadier General Mohammed Ali al-Hussein, raided the site to stop the unauthorized refining of petroleum derivatives using traditional methods. During the raid, authorities seized various pieces of equipment, including pumps, piping networks, and storage tanks used in the refining process.

The operation resulted in the detention of an individual and two workers from Dhamar Governorate, who were residing in the Al-Khash'ah area of Hadramaut. Investigations are ongoing to determine the sources of the petroleum products and the full extent of the illegal activity. The case and seized materials are being prepared for referral to the Public Prosecution.
