Shadow Blade Zero launches with estimated pre-sales exceeding 1 million units

The martial arts action AAA game Shadow Blade Zero, developed by Chinese studio Lingyou Workshop, has officially launched across multiple platforms. The title features a dark wuxia aesthetic and high-speed combat, incorporating 3D open environments with traditional side-scrolling mechanics. The game includes a collaboration with martial arts star Donnie Yen, who serves as a creative consultant and performs motion capture for the role of the protagonist's father.

Early critical reception has been highly positive, with IGN awarding the game a 9/10. Some reviews suggest its initial critical scores have surpassed those of Black Myth: Wukong. Market analysts estimate that pre-sales for the title have already exceeded 1 million units, generating approximately $43 million in revenue. This total includes an estimated 850,000 units across Steam and PS5, with the remainder coming from WeGame. Approximately two-thirds of these pre-sales originated from mainland China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.
