Shah Hizam denies intent to harm dog during Klang operation

Shah Hizam, a 24-year-old man involved in a Klang dog-catching operation that resulted in the death of a pet dog named Rocky, has denied intending to harm or kill any animal. During a press conference, Shah stated he was heartbroken by the dog's death but maintained he was performing a duty assigned to him.

His lawyer, Rafique Rashid Ali, clarified that Shah attended the July 29 operation at Taman Telok Gedong Indah as a residents’ representative following a written invitation from the local Rukun Tetangga. The lawyer emphasized that all participants were briefed by the Klang Royal City Council (MBDK) on procedures and that the neck loop used during the incident was provided by MBDK, not Shah personally.

The legal team noted that the situation became chaotic when a woman claiming to be the dog's owner intervened, leading to a struggle. Additionally, the lawyer warned that legal action may be taken against individuals or news portals spreading slander or death threats against Shah following intense online harassment.
