Shah Rukh Khan confirms December 24 release for film King

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has confirmed that his upcoming action thriller, ‘King’, is scheduled for release on December 24, 2026. During an interactive #AskSRK session on X, the actor addressed various fan inquiries, dismissing rumors of potential delays despite sustaining injuries during the filming process that required several production pauses.

Khan addressed the anticipated box-office competition from major Hollywood releases, including ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ and ‘Dune: Part Three’, with characteristic wit, describing his film as the ‘tasty Tikki’ in the center of the holiday release window. He also provided updates on the film’s production, noting that post-production and visual effects work are ongoing and that music by Arijit Singh is receiving final touches.

The film, directed by Siddharth Anand, features a notable cast including Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, and Abhishek Bachchan, and will mark the big-screen debut of Khan’s daughter, Suhana Khan. Additionally, the actor expressed his appreciation for the two-part film ‘Dhurandhar’ starring Ranveer Singh.
