Shah Rukh Khan film King undergoes music composer change

Music composer Anirudh Ravichander has reportedly stepped away from the upcoming action thriller King, starring Shah Rukh Khan, due to scheduling conflicts. The decision was described as mutual following discussions between Anirudh, director Siddharth Anand, and the production team. Anirudh is currently managing several large-scale projects in the South Indian film industry.

Composer duo Sachin-Jigar have been brought on board to handle the remaining songs and the background score. While Anirudh has exited the primary music team, he has reportedly already composed a theme track for the film. Sachin-Jigar are expected to incorporate and reimagine this theme within the final musical arrangement.

Directed by Siddharth Anand, King is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on December 24, 2026. The film features a cast including Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, and Jaideep Ahlawat. Recent promotional activity includes the release of the song ‘Tu Mil Jaaye’, a collaboration between Arijit Singh and Ed Sheeran, composed by Sachin-Jigar.
