Shah Rukh Khan to join AR Rahman’s Asha Bhosle tribute

Actor Shah Rukh Khan will participate in ‘Asha Forever’, a tribute music video produced by composer AR Rahman to honor the late legendary singer Asha Bhosle. Rahman announced the collaboration on X, expressing gratitude to the superstar for agreeing to be part of the project.

The tribute was originally conceived by Rahman while Bhosle was still alive, with the intention of presenting it to her personally. Following her death on April 12, 2026, the project has taken on increased emotional significance. Rahman previously released a teaser for the song, which features vocals from various musicians, to celebrate a voice that he noted has ‘transcended generations, languages, and borders.’
