Shaheen Jafargholi joins cast of HBO drama Heated Rivalry

Shaheen Jafargholi, the Swansea-born actor known for his appearance on Britain’s Got Talent, has been cast in the second season of the HBO ice hockey drama ‘Heated Rivalry’. Jafargholi will portray Fabian Salah, an aspiring musician who enters a romantic relationship with hockey player Ryan Price, played by Daniel Diemer.

The Canadian series is based on the ‘Game Changers’ novels by Rachel Reid. Following a highly successful first season, which became HBO’s highest-rated acquisition, the second season is expected to arrive in spring 2027 and will air on Sky and NOW in the United Kingdom.

Jafargholi’s career includes a notable stint on the BBC soap EastEnders. Co-creators Jacob Tierney and Brendan Brady noted that the new leads bring “confidence and emotional honesty” to the roles.
