Shahganj job fair provides employment to over 400 rural youths

More than 400 young people secured employment opportunities during the ‘Rojgar Mela 2026’ rural job fair held on September 27 in Pilkichha village, Shahganj, located in the Jaunpur district of Uttar Pradesh.

Hosted at City International School, the event aimed to connect rural youth directly with reputable companies to reduce the necessity of traveling to major urban centers for work. Participating organizations included MRF, Hindalco, Ashok Leyland, Subros, and Schneider Electric. These companies conducted interviews and selection processes based on candidates' technical skills, experience, and educational qualifications.

The initiative was spearheaded by Sanjeev Yadav, a former IRS officer who took voluntary retirement to focus on local social and employment-related projects. Yadav stated the goal is to foster broader socio-economic development for youth, women, farmers, and business owners by providing accessible platforms for growth within the region.
