Shahjahanpur man arrested for cooking meat on funeral pyre

A man has been arrested in the Shahjahanpur district of Uttar Pradesh for allegedly cooking meat on a burning funeral pyre. The incident occurred at a cremation site in Natthapur village.

According to police, the victim's son, Veerpal, discovered three men using a utensil to cook meat over his father's pyre on a Sunday evening. The suspects were reportedly consuming alcohol at the site when they decided to use the fire for cooking.

Authorities have arrested one individual, identified as Surendra, while two other accomplices fled the scene and remain at large. The arrested man has been sent to jail as police continue efforts to locate the remaining suspects.
