Shaires Holdings establishes US$86.7 million technology and AI portfolio

Shaires Holdings Ltd, a London-based investment company, has announced the establishment of an initial portfolio providing exposure to several major private technology and artificial intelligence firms. The company has entered into binding agreements with an aggregate value of up to US$86.7 million to gain exposure to entities including Anthropic, Stripe, ByteDance, Moonshot AI, Figure AI, SandboxAQ, and Colossal Biosciences.

As part of its expansion, the company is launching a retail offer for UK investors priced at US$20.00 per share, alongside a previously announced US$28.5 million institutional placement at the same price. To facilitate these fundraises, Shaires is initiating a Capital Access Window, which involves a voluntary pause in share trading to allow a broader range of investors to participate. The company is targeting a total raise of US$100 million through these tranches and initial in-kind contributions, while also negotiating additional investment opportunities of up to US$500 million.
