Shakib Khan film ‘Operation Agnipath’ to resume production

Production for the film ‘Operation Agnipath’, starring Shakib Khan, is set to resume after a nine-year hiatus. The project, directed by Ashikur Rahman and produced by Vertex Production House, had previously stalled due to internal complexities and legal disputes involving the lead actor.

Following recent discussions between the actor, director, and producer Jane Alam, plans are underway to begin filming the second installment next year. The production team intends to update the story and potentially adjust the cast to better align with current audience tastes. While the first part of the film was shot in Australia, the upcoming schedule involves a 25-day shoot planned to take place entirely abroad.

Shakib Khan has expressed a positive outlook on completing the project. Once he returns to Bangladesh from the United States, final schedules will be determined. The film is currently being eyed for a release around the 2027 Eid festival.
