Shakira and Burna Boy to Perform at 2026 World Cup Opening Ceremony

Colombian singer Shakira and Nigerian artist Burna Boy will perform the official 2026 FIFA World Cup anthem “Dai Dai” at the tournament’s opening ceremony on 11 June at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City. The video for the song has already exceeded 100 million views ahead of the event.

The performance is part of a larger musical showcase that also includes Alejandro Fernández, Maná, J Balvin and other Latin stars. “Dai Dai” serves as the official song of the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which aims to raise $100 million for children’s education and sport worldwide. Shakira will later co‑headline the World Cup final halftime show on 19 July in New Jersey alongside Madonna and BTS.
