Abu Dhabi cancels Shakira and Christina Aguilera concerts

Concert organizers in Abu Dhabi have canceled upcoming performances by Shakira and Christina Aguilera due to security concerns stemming from the conflict in the Middle East.

Christina Aguilera’s concert, originally scheduled for September 25, was canceled by Ticketmaster without a new date being set. Additionally, the Offlimits festival, which was set to feature Shakira on November 21, has been canceled, with organizers stating they hope to reorganize the event in 2027 and promising ticket refunds.

The United Arab Emirates has faced significant regional instability, reporting over 3,000 missile and drone attacks in recent months, often targeting American bases. While the frequency of attacks has decreased, recent reports indicate Iranian ballistic missiles have targeted maritime navigation, landing in the sea.
