Shakira and Gerard Piqué meet in Barcelona court over child visitation

Shakira and Gerard Piqué met at the Barcelona Court of First Instance No. 18 on Tuesday, October 6, to address modifications to the visitation regime for their two children, Milan and Sasha.

Shakira’s legal team stated that the request does not aim to reduce the time the children spend with their father. Instead, the proposal seeks to restructure the logistics of international travel between Miami, where the children reside, and Barcelona, where Piqué lives. The defense argued that frequent transatlantic flights cause physical and emotional exhaustion for the adolescents.

The singer has proposed that during short school breaks, Piqué should travel to Miami rather than requiring the children to undertake long-distance flights. The goal of this request is to protect the children’s emotional, physical, and academic well-being by maintaining more consistent routines.
