Shakira and Maluma reunite for new merengue single ‘Agua’

Latin music sees a significant week of releases, headlined by the reunion of Shakira and Maluma. The Colombian artists have released ‘Agua’, a sensual merengue track that marks their fifth collaboration following previous hits such as ‘Chantaje’, ‘Trap’, and ‘Clandestino’. The song is part of the project ‘Loco X Volver’ and features a music video directed by Hannah Lux Davis.

Other notable releases include Feid’s ‘El club de las 19 flores’, an eight-song project representing the second chapter of his ‘El Green Print’ saga, featuring collaborations with Yandel, Bad Gyal, and Vicente García. Elvis Crespo has released ‘Pa’ bailar’ with Beéle, blending merengue with afrobeat elements.

Additionally, a new tribute album titled ‘Tributo al rey con banda (Grandes duetos) Vol. 2’ has been released featuring the voice of the late Vicente Fernández. The production utilized original masters and the family confirmed that artificial intelligence was not used to recreate his voice. Pedro Capó also debuted ‘Caer y levantarse’, a tropical pop track inspired by his return to Puerto Rico.
