Shakira headlines World Cup 2026 events and launches Spanish ‘Dai Dai’ anthem

Colombian pop star Shakira attended the FIFA World Cup 2026 match between Argentina and Austria in Dallas, Texas, accompanied by her children Milan and Sasha. Their appearance drew loud applause from the stadium crowd and generated viral social‑media moments, including a tender kiss between Milan and his mother.

During the tournament Shakira’s 13‑year‑old son Milan impressed fans by reciting, on camera, the full list of World Cup winners from 1930 onward, noting the cancelled 1942 and 1946 editions. The video was widely shared online.

Shakira also promoted the official World Cup 2026 song “Dai Dai,” co‑written with Burna Boy, Ed Sheeran and others. She released a Spanish‑language version of the track during Colombia’s group‑stage game against the Democratic Republic of Congo, with the debut broadcast by Telemundo. The version was made available worldwide shortly thereafter and is slated for performance at the tournament’s final at MetLife Stadium.

These activities tie Shakira’s music and personal brand to the global football event, reinforcing her role as a cultural ambassador for the tournament.
