Shakira dazzles in neon yellow at 2026 World Cup opening ceremony

Colombian singer Shakira performed the official World Cup song "Dai Dai" with Burna Boy during the opening ceremony of the 2026 FIFA World Cup on June 11 at Mexico City's Azteca Stadium. She wore a striking neon‑yellow mesh bodysuit, matching fingerless gloves, white shorts and platform sneakers, completing the look with loose waves and dark sunglasses.

After the performance, footage showed Shakira continuing to dance as security escorted her off the pitch. She briefly paused to dance with her brother Antonio Mebarak before being gently pulled away. The singer later confirmed she will also appear at the World Cup final halftime show on July 19 at New Jersey's MetLife Stadium alongside Madonna and BTS.
