Colombian singer Shakira was paid €17.5 million for her performance at the FIFA World Cup final halftime show, making her the highest‑paid artist according to figures reported by The Sun. The intermission, which lasted 28 minutes instead of the allotted 15, featured a lineup that also included Justin Bieber, BTS, Coldplay, Madonna and others.
Other performers were said to have received substantial sums as well: Justin Bieber and actor Timothée Chalamet were each reported to have earned €14 million, while additional celebrities earned between €10 million and €600 thousand. No official confirmation of the amounts has been provided by event organizers.
