Shakira performs for two million people in Rio de Janeiro

Colombian singer Shakira performed a free concert at Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro as part of the ‘Todo Mundo no Rio’ event. According to city officials, the performance drew approximately two million attendees, marking one of the largest crowds of the artist's career.

The show featured a drone display depicting a wolf and included collaborations with several Brazilian artists, including Anitta, Caetano Veloso, Maria Bethânia, and Ivete Sangalo. Shakira performed a repertoire of hits such as ‘Hips Don’t Lie’ and ‘La Tortura’ while delivering messages regarding female empowerment and resilience.

The event is part of a series of large-scale free performances held in Copacabana, following previous major shows by artists such as Madonna.
