Shakira reportedly hired detective to monitor Gerard Piqué

Spanish paparazzi Jordi Martín has shared new details regarding the 2022 separation of singer Shakira and former footballer Gerard Piqué. According to Martín, Shakira reportedly hired a private detective to monitor Piqué’s activities while she was working in the United States.

Martín claims that during a trip to Florida, Piqué suggested a breakup, leading Shakira to employ the investigator to observe his movements during her 17-day absence for a talent show. The detective allegedly reported suspicious behavior, though Martín noted that the findings did not include physical intimacy, such as kissing, at that specific stage.

The photographer, who has specialized in following the couple for years, also provided context on their early relationship, noting they met at the Rock in Río festival in Madrid prior to the 2010 World Cup.
