Shakira Teams with Uganda's Ghetto Kids for 2026 World Cup Final Performance
Colombian singer Shakira posted a video showing her dancing with the Triplets Ghetto Kids, a 60‑member dance group from Kampala, Uganda. The children, aged 4 to 16, were invited to join her onstage for the halftime show of the 2026 FIFA World Cup final, scheduled for 19 July at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, United States. The performance will feature Shakira’s official World Cup song “Dai Dai,” a collaboration with Nigerian artist Burna Boy, and will be shared with other acts such as K‑pop group BTS.
Shakira said she wanted the show to be “special and unforgettable,” and the group expressed excitement at the chance to appear at one of the biggest sporting events on the planet. The Ghetto Kids, formed in 2014 and previously gaining global attention through viral videos, represent a multicultural element of the tournament’s entertainment program.
