Shakira to perform at the Pyramids of Giza on November 28
Shakira is scheduled to perform a concert at the Pyramids of Giza on November 28 as part of her ongoing world tour. According to promoter Rabih Mokbel, founder of Venture Lifestyle, this will be her only regional stop following the cancellation of her scheduled performances in Abu Dhabi and Doha.
While the singer's interest in the unique location helped secure the deal, Mokbel noted that the logistics of transporting a 200-person crew to the Middle East present significant financial challenges, especially with fewer regional dates to offset costs. The event is expected to have a capacity of 20,000 attendees and will include logistical arrangements such as 600 shuttle buses near the Grand Egyptian Museum.
The concert is viewed as a significant boost for the Egyptian economy, with Mokbel estimating an indirect income of $20 million to $30 million. The venue has previously hosted major international artists including Frank Sinatra, Sting, and Mariah Carey.
