Shakira’s 2026 World Cup anthem receives Brazilian remix with Léo Santana and Filipe Ret
For the first time FIFA allowed each national team to select official songs for the 2026 World Cup, leading to a varied soundtrack that reflects each country’s cultural identity. Brazil stood out by commissioning an original track, “Bate no Peito,” created by Ludmilla, Zeca Pagodinho, João Gomes, Veigh and Samuel Rosa.
Shakira, the Colombian pop star who recorded the tournament’s official theme, announced a Brazilian version of her hit “Dai Dai” featuring regional artists Léo Santana and rapper Filipe Ret. The collaboration, arranged through Brazilian singer Anitta, sparked mixed reactions on social media, with some fans delighted and others dismissing the remix as “dispersa, dispersa”.
The Brazilian remix underscores the tournament’s broader strategy of using music to enhance national identity and fan engagement across the participating nations.
