Shakira's World Cup 2026 anthem 'Dai Dai' hits 100 million YouTube views
Shakira’s collaborative track with Burna Boy, “Dai Dai”, serves as the official FIFA World Cup 2026 anthem. Released on 15 May, the video amassed more than 100 million views on YouTube within two weeks, reaching around 110 million by 10 June. The multilingual song—mixing Italian, Spanish, English, French and Japanese—was praised by the artist, who posted: “Acabamos de alcanzar los 100 millones de visitas con ‘Dai Dai’, gracias pack, ¡son los mejores! Gracias mi manada linda, esto lo hemos hecho juntos.”
All royalties from the single will be donated to FIFA’s Global Education Fund, which aims to raise US$ 100 million to provide quality education and sport opportunities to vulnerable children worldwide. The music video, directed by Hannah Lux Davis, was filmed in part at Rio’s Maracanã stadium and features cameo appearances by football stars such as Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappé and Erling Haaland. The anthem forms part of FIFA’s broader musical push for the tournament, which will include a historic halftime‑show at the final with Madonna and BTS.
The World Cup 2026 will be co‑hosted by the United States, Mexico and Canada, marking the first edition with three host nations and a 48‑team format.
