Shakur Stevenson charts dream opponents and dismisses Rayo Valenzuela after joining Zuffa Boxing

Shakur Stevenson, the unbeaten four‑division world champion, has signed what he calls an “insane” deal with the new promoter Zuffa Boxing. He told Paramount Boxing that he will not fight fellow Zuffa fighter Jose Rayo Valenzuela, saying, “I don’t plan on fighting Rayo. I don’t think that Rayo is an interesting fight enough for me to even want to fight him.” Stevenson said he would prefer a bout against Gary Antuanne Russell if Rayo were offered.

Stevenson also outlined his ideal blockbuster match‑ups, naming Gervonta “Tank” Davis, Teofimo Lopez and other top names, noting, “Imagine it being like Teo, then Devin, then Tank… If I could get all three of them, I don’t even know what else I would do after that. Retire.” Earlier, he had argued that Davis would defeat a prime Oscar De La Hoya in a fantasy matchup. These comments underscore his ambition to secure high‑profile fights while his own recent title issues – such as being stripped of the WBC lightweight belt – keep a real‑life Davis showdown unlikely.
