Shakur Stevenson submitted by Vanessa Demopoulos during grappling session

Undefeated boxing champion Shakur Stevenson was submitted during a grappling training session by UFC fighter Vanessa Demopoulos. A video of the encounter, which has since gone viral, shows Demopoulos, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt, catching Stevenson in a submission hold that forced him to tap out.

The session took place in Las Vegas. Following the encounter, Stevenson reacted with humor, stating, “What the f*ck was that? I ain’t never been put in that situation. I’m good in boxing.”

The incident follows recent social media exchanges where Stevenson dismissed the abilities of mixed martial arts fighters, including a dispute with former UFC lightweight champion Ilia Topuria. Demopoulos is scheduled to fight Yazmin Jaurgui on September 26.
