Shalini Ali criticizes Grand Mufti; Anand Dubey addresses Haldwani dispute

Social activist Dr. Shalini Ali has criticized Grand Mufti Sheikh Abubakar Ahmed for comments comparing women to household jewelry. Dr. Ali argued that such remarks undermine the progress women have made in various fields, including medicine, space exploration, and combat. She further stated that there is no religious basis in the Quran or Hadith to limit women's independence under the guise of protection.

Separately, Anand Dubey, a spokesperson for Shiv Sena (UBT), addressed the Haldwani purification dispute. Dubey stated that if the Uttarakhand government fails to take action regarding the incident, the party will seek recourse through the courts. He noted that despite objections raised by Congress leaders regarding a purification program held at Ramlila Maidan, no arrests or FIRs have been made.

Dubey also commented on various political matters, including the refusal of American leaders to accept funds from the RSS and the need for a thorough Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process to prevent the wrongful removal of names from voter lists in states like Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh.
