Shalise Barnes moves into unique Sicilian cave house

Interior designer Shalise Barnes has moved into a unique 85-square-meter cave house in Sicily, which she purchased for 55,000 euros. Originally intended as a renovation project to sell or rent, Barnes decided to make the property her permanent residence following a personal breakup.

The cave house, which appears as a traditional home from the outside, is already equipped with electricity, running water, a kitchen, and a bathroom. Barnes, who moved from Amsterdam, noted that the space has provided her with peace and stability during a difficult period.
