Shallow Levée completes 12-show residency at Grand Hotel Taipei

The Kaohsiung-based indie band Shallow Levée has completed a 12-show residency at the Grand Hotel Taipei, marking the start of their ‘Space Trilogy’ tour to celebrate their 10th anniversary. The performances, held in the hotel’s State Banquet Hall, featured a variety of guest artists, including Fire EX. frontman Yang Da-zheng and singer Leo Wang.

The residency utilized immersive elements, such as guided tours of the hotel’s secret tunnels and a ‘Silent Disco’ format for the album release. The band chose the historic venue to symbolize the transformation of a space once reserved for dignitaries into an open cultural space for the public.

Reflecting on their decade together, band members expressed goals for the next ten years, including international touring and fostering a sustainable ecosystem for Taiwan’s independent music scene. The residency concluded with emotional performances, including a tribute by vocalist Soham.
