Sunset Theory celebrates 10th anniversary with concerts at Grand Hotel Taipei

The Taiwanese band Sunset Theory (淺堤) has launched a 12-show concert series at the Grand Hotel Taipei to celebrate their 10th anniversary and the release of their third album, "Speak in Silence." The performances utilize a "Silent Disco" format to create an immersive experience within the historical venue.

Actor Huang Tin-hui appeared as a surprise guest during the opening performance, joining lead singer Soham to perform "Youthful Dreams" (青春咱的夢). Huang praised the band's musical style as possessing a unique quality of "poetry within Taiwanese flavors," describing their sound as a blend of ruggedness and delicacy.

During the event, lead singer Soham, formerly known as Tsai Yi-ling, compared the band's decade-long journey to a process of personal and professional renewal, likening it to completing a medical treatment for H. pylori infection. The band characterized this new era as "Sunset Theory 2.0."
