Shallu Jindal receives CSR Person of the Year award

Shallu Jindal, Chairperson of the Jindal Foundation, has been named ‘CSR Person of the Year’ at the 19th India CSR Leadership Summit & Awards 2026 in New Delhi. The award recognizes her leadership in community-focused initiatives, particularly the #HerKadam program, which focuses on women’s health, maternal care, nutrition, and economic empowerment.

The #HerKadam initiative has reached over 2,300 underserved villages, providing more than 12 million instances of health and nutrition support. Key achievements include anaemia screening and counseling for 9 lakh adolescent girls, antenatal and postnatal care for 8.9 lakh mothers, and improving the nutritional status of over 90% of identified severely malnourished children.

In conjunction with Seva Diwas, marking her birthday, the Jindal Foundation conducted various humanitarian outreach programs. These included medical camps for senior citizens, menstrual hygiene awareness and sanitary napkin distribution for adolescent girls, and the provision of sports gear and jerseys to 85 under-14 football players in rural communities.
