Shammond Williams joins Monmouth men's basketball coaching staff

Monmouth University has named Shammond Williams as an assistant coach for the men’s basketball program. Williams joins the staff under head coach King Rice.

Williams brings 13 years of collegiate coaching experience to the role, having most recently served as an assistant and interim head coach at the University of Denver. His previous coaching stops include stints at Old Dominion, Western Kentucky, Tulane, and Furman.

Before his coaching career, Williams played professionally for 16 years, including nine seasons in the NBA. He also played four seasons at the University of North Carolina.
