Shams Tabrizi monument unveiled in Khoy

A monument dedicated to Shams Tabrizi has been unveiled in a main square in Khoy, which has also been renamed in his honor. The unveiling ceremony was attended by the Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts, Seyed Reza Salehi-Amiri, along with local officials and various dignitaries.

The project is part of a larger cultural and tourism development initiative. The ‘Shams Tabrizi Shrine’ is a 7,000-square-meter complex featuring a dome, a library with 8,000 volumes, and research spaces. The construction of the shrine, which follows a twenty-year hiatus, was completed with a budget of 250 billion tomans and has been officially registered as a national heritage site of Iran.
