Shane Baz exits Orioles start after being hit by line drive

Baltimore Orioles right-hander Shane Baz exited a game against the New York Mets on Tuesday after being struck on his right arm by a 105.1 mph line drive. The incident occurred at the start of the fifth inning, prompting manager Craig Albernaz and trainers to attend to the pitcher. After attempting a single warmup throw that missed the target, Baz walked off the mound to the dugout.

Baz, who has led the Orioles with 30 starts and 173 innings this season, left the game trailing 3-2. He allowed seven hits and two strikeouts during his outing.
