Shane Lowry reflects on Irish Open win and DP World Tour security concerns

Shane Lowry Amgen Irish Open DP World Tour professional golf Biltmore Championship

Golfer Shane Lowry reflected on his recent 11-shot victory at the Amgen Irish Open, stating he would endure the difficulties of the past four years again to experience such success.

Amidst his celebrations, Lowry noted that the DP World Tour faces significant decisions regarding its season-ending play-off events in the Middle East. While the Abu Dhabi Championship and the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai are currently scheduled for November, the Tour is monitoring the regional situation and consulting with international travel advisors. Some players, including Matt Fitzpatrick, have expressed discomfort regarding travel to the United Arab Emirates due to ongoing regional tensions.
