Shane Lowry wins Amgen Irish Open by 11 strokes

Shane Lowry secured a dominant victory at the Amgen Irish Open, marking his seventh DP World Tour title and his first win of the 2026 season. Playing on home soil at the Trump International Golf Links in Doonbeg, Lowry finished the tournament at 23-under-par, winning by 11 strokes.

Lowry’s performance was highlighted by a second-round 62, which set a new course record. He maintained a significant lead throughout the final stages of the competition, showcasing exceptional iron play and scrambling ability. This victory marks his second Amgen Irish Open title, following his amateur win in 2009.

Northern Irish golfer Tom McKibbin finished in eighth place, sitting at five under par. Prior to the conclusion of the tournament, McKibbin had been noted by teammate Jon Rahm for his technical potential and composure on the course.
