Shane Mosley disputes Floyd Mayweather’s undefeated record
Former three-weight world champion Shane Mosley has claimed that Floyd Mayweather should have suffered at least one defeat during his professional career. Speaking to ESNEWS, Mosley specifically challenged the official scoring of Mayweather’s 2015 unanimous decision victory over Manny Pacquiao.
Mosley, who previously fought Mayweather in a non-title bout, argued that Pacquiao outworked the undefeated champion. He suggested that the judges incorrectly credited Mayweather with throwing more punches, stating, “I knew Manny threw way more punches than Floyd, and then they had Floyd throwing more punches than Manny so I figured they had the card switched or something.”
While Mayweather retired with a perfect 50-0 record following his 2017 victory over Conor McGregor, Mosley believes the 2015 encounter with Pacquiao deserves an asterisk due to the perceived scoring error.
