Shane Richie to appear in court on drink-driving charge

Actor Shane Richie, known for his role as Alfie Moon in the BBC soap EastEnders, is scheduled to appear at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, September 9. The 62-year-old is facing a charge of drink-driving.

The arrest occurred following reports of a suspected drink-driver in the Church Langley Way area of Harlow shortly before 11:20 pm on Wednesday, July 29. Police attended the scene and subsequently authorized the charge against Richie, who resides in Tadworth, Surrey.
