Shanghai Electric and ExponTech showcase industrial AI and computing innovations

At recent industrial and AI conferences, major technological advancements in automation and artificial intelligence infrastructure were showcased.

Shanghai Electric presented 19 integrated solutions at the 2026 China International Industry Fair (CIIF). These offerings span intelligent robotics, industrial AI, computing infrastructure, large gas turbines, and nuclear power equipment. Key highlights include integrated components for humanoid and industrial robots, such as precision bearings and multi-finger robotic hands. The company also demonstrated AI-driven digital solutions for wind power and lithium battery manufacturing, alongside advanced liquid-cooled computing racks for data centers designed to increase calculation density.

At the 2026 Artificial Intelligence Industry Conference (AIIC), ExponTech (Huari Index Cloud) addressed the shift from computing power to “intelligence power” (zhili). CTO Cao Yuzhong argued that as AI models and computing power become commoditized, the competitive edge will lie in “context”—the ability to manage business knowledge and data. To solve the “memory wall” issue where large context windows exceed GPU memory capacity, ExponTech introduced its WQS product, an AI-native KV Cache storage solution designed to reduce latency and computational costs by replacing repetitive calculations with efficient data retrieval.
