Shanghai Electric reports 16.6% revenue growth in H1 2026

Shanghai Electric has reported its interim financial results for the first half of 2026, showing an operating revenue of CNY 63.332 billion (USD 9.17 billion), a 16.6% increase year-on-year. Net profit attributable to shareholders rose 18.2% to CNY 970 million (USD 140.49 million). The company also reported new orders totaling CNY 100.39 billion (USD 14.54 billion), driven by growth in energy transition, intelligent manufacturing, and international expansion.

Key business segments included Energy Equipment, which saw a 21.4% revenue increase led by wind power and energy storage, and Integrated Services, which grew by 31.5%. International developments include securing a contract for the Sarawak Samalaju Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) Project in Malaysia, marking the company’s first overseas heavy-duty gas turbine order. Additionally, the company secured contracts for high-end elevators in Dubai, power equipment for a data center in Finland, and an energy storage project in the United Kingdom.
