Shanghai Electric unveils energy transition solutions at Enlit Asia 2026

Shanghai Electric showcased three energy transition solutions at the Enlit Asia 2026 event held in Jakarta, Indonesia. Under the theme ‘Powering the Archipelago’, the company presented technologies aimed at supporting decarbonization, grid resilience, and low-carbon fuels across the ASEAN region.

The three primary solutions include:

1. High-Efficiency Power & Decarbonization: Designed to reduce carbon intensity in markets like Indonesia through unit upgrades, fuel transitions, and system optimization. This includes modular steam turbines and heavy-duty gas turbines capable of operating with up to 30% hydrogen blending.

2. Grid Modernization & Resilience Upgrade: Focused on addressing island-grid challenges, such as renewable energy integration and voltage stability. This solution utilizes synchronous condensers, flywheels, and multi-technology energy storage.

3. Low-Carbon Fuels: Solutions intended to provide cleaner fuel options for the shipping and aviation industries.
