Shanghai woman shares 45kg food shipment from parents

Yang Xiaomei, a 33-year-old woman living in Shanghai, gained social media attention on Xiaohongshu after sharing photos of two large styrofoam boxes weighing 45kg sent by her parents from Anhui province.

The shipment, which traveled 450 km, contained a variety of pre-prepared and frozen foods. The contents included eight chickens raised by her parents over a year, various meats such as beef, pork trotters, and pig intestines, as well as minced pork and various vegetables like spinach and garlic.

To ensure freshness during transport without vacuum sealing, the food was cleaned, portioned for individual meals, and frozen before being packed. The meticulous preparation, estimated to have taken nearly a week, was shared by Yang as a symbol of her parents' care.
