Shannon returns to Great British Bake Off after medical absence

Shannon, a 29-year-old contestant from Gloucestershire, is returning to The Great British Bake Off for Biscuit Week after a medical absence during the season opener.

During a previous episode, Shannon was seen being escorted by a paramedic during the showstopper challenge. She later explained on Instagram that she experienced an unexpected and frightening medical issue on the morning of filming. Following discussions with the medical team, she chose to prioritize her health and consult her GP.

Medical professionals have since confirmed that she is okay. Gloucestershire County Council expressed support for her return, noting that baking can be a way to reduce food waste and carbon emissions.
