Shaoxing roast duck shop destroys 27 ducks after dog licks them

A roast duck restaurant in Yuecheng District, Shaoxing, Zhejiang province, experienced a food safety incident after a dog was filmed licking ducks inside an outdoor roasting oven.

The shop owner, Mr. Zhang, reported that the incident resulted in the immediate destruction of 27 contaminated ducks, causing a direct economic loss of approximately 700 to 800 yuan. Following the incident, the owner conducted a thorough disinfection of the oven and reported the matter to the local market supervision administration.

CCTV footage captured the event, leading the owner to suspect that the oven door may have been intentionally opened by someone to allow the dog access. Local market supervision authorities have confirmed they will dispatch personnel to the site to verify the situation and handle the matter.
