Shape of Water to air on German television

The four-time Oscar-winning fantasy drama ‘Shape of Water’ is scheduled to air on the German television channel Kabel Eins on Wednesday, August 19, at 10:25 PM.

Directed by Guillermo del Toro, the film is set in the early 1960s and follows Elisa Esposito, a mute cleaning lady working at a secret US government research facility. The story develops as Elisa forms a bond with a mysterious amphibious creature being held captive and tortured by security chief Richard Strickland as part of a Cold War competition against the Soviet Union. Elisa eventually attempts to rescue the creature with the help of her neighbor, Giles.
