Shaqueel van Persie focuses on fitness and international future

Shaqueel van Persie is working toward a full return to fitness at Feyenoord following a severe knee injury. The 19-year-old striker recently played 45 minutes against Westerlo as part of a gradual recovery program.

Van Persie is working closely with trainer Giovanni van Bronckhorst and the medical staff to manage his workload and build physical resilience. While he noted that it can be difficult not to have full control over his playing minutes, he expressed strong confidence in the communication and the steps being taken toward his goal of playing full 90-minute matches.

Regarding his international future, the forward has not yet decided whether he will represent the Netherlands, Morocco, or England. He stated that he is not currently preoccupied with the decision and will make a choice when the opportunity arises, noting that his primary focus remains on his fitness and performance at Feyenoord.
