Shaquille Milton signs with Hapoel Jerusalem basketball club

American guard Shaquille Milton, 29, has signed a contract with Israeli club Hapoel Jerusalem for the upcoming season, departing Serbian side Partizan where he played last year.

Milton said he is “very excited and happy to join Hapoel Jerusalem, having heard a lot about the club, its great fans and atmosphere,” and pledged to fight for every ball and point. Hapoel coach Saša Obradović added that Milton brings “rich experience from the best league in the world” and will boost the team’s versatility, shooting and playmaking, reflecting the club’s high ambitions.

Milton posted averages of 6.9 points and 2.4 assists in the EuroLeague and 11.4 points with 2.6 assists in the ABA League last season. Hapoel, taken over by Obradović this summer, will compete in the Israeli domestic championship and the EuroCup, with its first EuroCup match against Rostok scheduled for 29 September.
