Shaquille O'Neal condemns social‑media bullying of WNBA stars Angel Reese and Lauren Betts

Shaquille O'Neal appeared on the Rich Eisen Show and denounced online trolling targeting WNBA players Angel Reese and Lauren Betts. He said he "wish[ed] I could just punch those guys who bully my Angels and Lauren" and criticized sports media for allowing amateurs to harass female athletes for clicks.

O'Neal, president of the Reebok basketball brand that sponsors both players, described himself as a "father figure" to Reese, who is averaging 13.1 points and 11 rebounds this season with the Dallas Dream. Betts, a rookie with the Washington Mystics, is averaging 5.1 points and 2.7 rebounds. O'Neal affirmed his support, saying the players can call on him whenever needed.
